Thrill Seeker

I'm sure that by now most of you know that I like to do thrill seeking adventures. My vacation to Pigeon Forge was no different. I decided to go to Wahoo Zipline and take a tour by myself. They have six different mountain ziplines. You zip under, through and over the tree tops at speeds up to 40 mph. I got to go with the instructor on this one particular zipline. I let go with my hands and turned upside down. He spun me around and around. It was GREAT! On the very last zipline I got to race the other instructor to the end. I almost beat him but he passed me at the very last second. He said I came closer than anyone else has in a long time. I actually learned how to keep myself straight and go really fast. I was really proud of myself. This is something that I will definately do the next time I go back to Pigeon Forge.

Pigeon Forge ~ Day 7

Today we decided to stay around the condo and go swimming. We went to the indoor pool and the lazy river. I really enjoyed the lazy river. It is nice to have everything so close without even having to leave.

Pigeon Forge ~ Day 6

We decided to get up and head off to Cherokee today. We wanted to see if we could spot a few Indians out and about. It was an hour drive to get there. It was a very hard drive. Up the mountain, around curves and then back down the mountain again. It was very beautiful scenery though. We didn’t have much luck spotting any Indians. We did get to talk to one guy who was very nice. We did a little shopping, and then ate some lunch before heading back to Pigeon Forge. On the way, we stopped at a scenic lookout to take a few pictures. It was a beautiful view of the mountains.

Pigeon Forge ~ Day 5

This morning we got up early and headed off to eat at The Apple Barn. I love eating their apple fritters and apple butter. I tried to get a few pictures of the twins but they didn’t seem to want to cooperate with me this morning. I did manage to get a couple of pictures I could use.

We ate supper at one of my favorite restaurants in Pigeon Forge, The Alamo Steakhouse. If you want to eat one of the best steaks ever, go to this restaurant. After supper we took the twins to Kids Country at The Track. They got to ride on the airplanes, swings and ferris wheel. Their favorite rides were the ones that take a quarter. I wish I would have known that before I spent $40.00 on 12 tickets! I am just glad they enjoyed themselves.

Pigeon Forge ~ Day 4

We like to drive go carts and play putt-putt golf. We found this slick track where your cars do a lot of sliding around if you don’t know what you are doing. I had trouble the first time I drove them. I turned my car all the way around. My mom never rides the go carts. She always stays back and watches the kids. Jackie and I talked her into taking my last ticket and riding in a double car with him driving. I have never seen my mother in this way. She looked like she was having the best time. I always have one goal in mind when I play putt-putt which is to NOT come in last place. I am not very good at staying calm and trying to hit that little ball into the little hole. I have accomplished my goal the last two times that I have played. I came in next to last but not last. You would think most people’s goal would be to come in first. I know my limits and winning at putt-putt is just not in the cards for me. I still have a great time playing. I think the twins really enjoy watching. They get to hold the balls. Sometimes they even get to put them in the holes. I can’t wait to see them get to actually play with us.
